Abstract:
This manual reflects the work done to improve the original 88-item GMFM. This has been accomplished by reducing the number of items to 66; converting the ordinal scale to a scale with interval properties; determining the hierarchical structure of the items, making it possible to create an item map that illustrates how difficult each item is for children with cerebral palsy relative to the other items; and developing a computer program to score the GMFM-66.
