Abstract:

This book will be divided into four main areas: (1) Metabolomics technology. Most advanced technology platforms for metabolomics will be introduced, including CE-MS, CIC-MS, GC-MS, NMR and tracer-based metabolomics; (2) Data analysis tools for metabolomics; (3) Clinical application of metabolomics. These will include biomarker discovery for cancer early detection, prognosis, therapy monitoring and cancer recurrence; (4) New discovery in cancer metabolism. This topic will include some of the recent novel discovery in cancer metabolism such as HIF1alpha pathway, IDH1 mutation, oncometabolite, etc. This is to stimulate more applications of metabolomics in cancer biology (metabolism).
