Psychology of Gender is intended as a core, stand-alone textbook that reflects the combined strengths and expertise of its three authors, Jennifer Bosson, Joseph Vandello, and Camille Buckner, all of whom are social psychologists who specialize in the study of gender. In contrast to many existing texts on the Psychology of Women and Gender, this text provides full coverage of both womens and mens experiences. Psychology of Gender includes balanced and cross-cultural coverage of how both women and men are influenced and shaped by gender. In addition to including cross-cultural analyses throughout the text, the authors also consider other dimensions of diversity, particularly in terms of race and ethnicity, student versus non-student status, and socioeconomic status.
